This Saturday is the Day for Savings!
This weekend is our next big Owner Appreciation Day here at Alberta Cooperative Grocery!
The big day is going to be Saturday, May 12th. All new and renewed currrent Owners get 15% off their purchases, all day long.
We will have samples, a raffle, and lots of smiling faces here in the store to help out.
Spring is the perfect time to start something new, like becoming a new owner at the Alberta Co-op. When you become an owner, you are joining an organization of people who care about food and the connection between food and community.
We hope that you join because you like what we do. We also hope that you will share in our financial success by taking advantage of the next Owner Appreciation Day happening on Saturday, May 12th. If you join or renew by May 12th, you will receive a coupon for $5 off of any $25 purchase.
You will also be entered into a raffle to win an ACG gift card. We have a goal of 150 new and renewing members in the 30 days preceeding the sale. We are currently at 63, so we only have 87 more to go! If you have been thinking about joining, now is the time!
It’s going to be a fun day, and we’re looking forward to seeing all of you there!
And in conjunction, a word from our Bulk Department:
Bulking Up for Owner Appreciation Day
Last Owner Appreciation Day, we sent out a survey to members to see what items they were hoping to bulk up on with a big discount. It really helped us make sure we had enough of what folks were looking for.
Our next Owner Appreciation Day is Saturday, May 12th. If you are hoping to get large quantities of bulk products it would be helpful for us if you were to fill out this survey. This does NOT mean items will be reserved for you, but rather we will attempt to have enough for everyone. In other words: While supplies last. We want you all to get the things you want, and letting us know what those things are will go a long way towards making that happen!

2012 Farm Tour Tickets Available Now!
This year, on June 9th, we are heading south to the farming rich Eugene area asking the question: What does it really take to feed our city? We will be visiting three farms in the area (Wintergreen Farms, Groundworks Organics, andOrganically Grown Company) that play a major role in getting organic produce to Portland’s grocery stores and Farmer’s Markets.
This Farm Tour will be a fun and hopefully sunshine-filled day, where Co-op shoppers can get a chance to see what organic farming in the modern era looks like on a large scale, and meet your farmers in person.
Breakfast and lunch consisting of delicious, healthy, and local foods will be provided, as well as a chartered bus to take us all around. We’ll have raffles, watch a movie on the bus, and have plenty of time to talk to each other and our farmers.
Come in and sign up today! The cost for the tour is $29 for adults, $15 for kids, and we’re also offering a reduced rate of $15 for tickets for those that want to come, but for whom $29 is too much.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
